These Terms & Conditions outline the booking, cancellation, refund, and participation policies for all Panchakarma programs, Ayurveda retreats, and Ayurveda courses offered at our center in Varkala, Kerala.
Our work involves medical planning, therapist scheduling, and room reservations prepared in advance. We request all guests to read this page carefully before confirming their stay.
Booking & Advance Payment Policy
To confirm any program at Lokah Ayurveda (Panchakarma treatment, Ayurveda retreat, or Ayurveda course), an advance deposit is required.

The advance deposit:
- Confirms your room reservation
- Secures your treatment schedule
- Allows us to prepare your individualized medical plan
The remaining balance is payable on arrival (cash preferred to avoid PayPal processing fees).
Please Note: A booking is considered confirmed only after receipt of the advance payment.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Advance Fee Policy — Important
The advance deposit for any treatment, retreat, or course is strictly non-refundable.
However:
- The advance amount remains fully valid for one year from the original booking date.
- Guests may reschedule within this one-year period, subject to availability.
- Only one complimentary date change is permitted.
This policy allows flexibility while ensuring medical and operational planning stability.
Cancellation of Remaining Balance
If full payment has been made and cancellation occurs:

Rescheduling Policy
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise.
Guests may:
- Postpone their stay within one year of the original booking date.
- Select new dates based on availability.
Rescheduling requests must be made via email.
Visa & Travel Responsibility
Your Responsibility
- Obtaining a valid Indian visa before travel
- Ensuring passport validity
- Travel insurance
- Flight and airport arrangements
Lokah Ayurveda Is Not Responsible For
- Visa rejections
- Missed flights
- Travel disruptions
- Airline or immigration issues
Tip: We recommend applying for an Indian e-Visa well in advance of travel.

Important:
- Panchakarma is a physician-led medical therapy.
- Treatment protocols are decided only after in-person consultation.
- Guests must disclose full medical history prior to arrival.
- Lokah Ayurveda reserves the right to modify, postpone, or decline treatment if medically necessary.
Healing programs are individualized and may differ from general descriptions.
Nature of Accommodation
Lokah Ayurveda is a traditional Ayurvedic healing center in Varkala, Kerala.
Please note:
- We are located approximately 15–20 minutes walking distance from Varkala Beach.
- Our center is intentionally away from tourist cafés and beach activity to maintain silence and healing focus.
- We provide simple, clean, peaceful accommodation.
- We are not a luxury resort or sea-view property.
Our Priority: Authentic Ayurvedic healing, not tourism.
Early Departure Policy
If a guest chooses to leave before completing their scheduled program:
- No refund will be issued for unused days.
- Medical planning, therapist allocation, and room blocking are arranged in advance.
Acceptance of Terms
By making an advance payment through our booking system, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
- You agree to the cancellation and refund policy.
- You understand the medical nature of Panchakarma treatment.
